old reverb recording trick...honest?!?
We started recording back in the spring at Mobtown Studios in Baltimore. We had to take a break to get the funds together to finish paying for the sessions, but we were back to work last night laying down some guitar tracks! We’re working on 2…maybe 3 songs, and their really coming together, which is why it was kind of bummer to take such a long break.
But it was good to be back. A few more sessions, then some mixing & mastering and we should have a little EP, maybe a split if any friends are interested in working with us (wink, wink).
In the meantime, here are some photos from the sessions we’ve had so far. I might even try to take some video during our next session. So stay tuned!

Enoch Pratt Central Library
Literally…check us out, at the Library!!! I’m not sure who, but someone’s snuck in our CD into the Enoch Pratt Free Library. I can’t tell you if it’s in all of the Enoch Pratt Branches, or just the main one on Cathedral Street?
I can tell you that we’re not the only ones, we have plenty of other great local bands keeping us company; Wye Oak, Ponytail, The Seldon Plan, Among Wolves, Private Eleanor and many of our other Beechfields Brethren.
But check out the little page they’ve created on their website to promote having all this great local music.
Who knows, maybe we’ll take over the Library of Congress next!?!

Not all of us could make the photo shoot yesterday. But that didn’t stop us from going out, exploring the woods and testing out some photo ideas. We had a good time wandering the woods, running through fields and just being outside in such beautiful place.
We haven’t added all the pictures to our photo/video section because 1) i haven’t figured how to add a separate image gallery yet (if anyone has any suggestions, i welcome them!) and 2) since the whole band isn’t in them, there’s really no reason to put them up if we’re going to retake them later. But i have added a link to photobucket slideshow. Enjoy!
Today were getting some band photos done with our great friend & talented artist Danielle Yurchinkonis.
It’s been a long time since we’ve have “press shots”, and the first time we’ve had them done professionally. I’m looking forward to what i know will be a lot of fun, and some quality photos for you guys.
So, until we have them done, please check out Dani’s art. She has been a great friend for many years, and i’ve always admired her work.
She’s done a lot more work then what she has online. Please bug her to put it up!!!
Also, would anyone be interested in writing up a little press sheet for us. We’ve got some new songs you check out before we release them to the public. Technically they’re nowhere near finished, but still sound pretty cool.

So the other day we had practice as a 5 piece for the first time in over 2 years!
We are happy to welcome our friends Amy Reid & Austin Stahl, both talented artists living in Baltimore. Amy also plays with the band InEveryRoom, and Austin has played with Private Eleanor and Small Sur, and has had a few solo releases. Check out Austin’s Stuff!
We’re working on finishing up a 2-3 song EP, which we’re not sure how we want to release (we’d like to do a 7inch or some kind of vinyl?). Also, we are writing a lot of new material for a new full length.
Hopefully as fall quickly approaches, so will our inspiration with the love for the changing seasons!
